Ghana assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko believes Andre Ayew took the right decision to rejoin Premier League side Swansea City from West Ham United in the just-concluded January transfer window.
The 28-year-old signed a three-and-half-year deal reported to worth around £18 million, after falling down the pecking order under David Moyes.
Ayew will now play with his younger brother Jordan at the Liberty Stadium like they did at Marseille between 2008 and 2015.
"I think it is a good move for Andre Ayew to rejoin Swansea City," Tanko said.
"Going back to Swansea City is a smart move for him and don't forget he is going to unite with his brother (Jordan Ayew).
"He is going back to a club he knows already where he enjoyed his debut campaign in England scoring 12 goals out of 35 games before moving to West Ham United."
He added: "We all know what happened at West Ham, Andre had a lot of injuries but he still managed to play 40 games for them and scored a number of goals as well."
Ayew failed to make his debut last weekend against Leicester City due to an injury but he is likely to either make his bow against Notts County in the FA Cup on Tuesday or Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
