Newly promoted English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the departure of Prince Oniangue to Caen.
The midfielder joined the Molineux Stadium outfit in August 2016 but only spent the first half of the 2016-17 season with the side before he fell out of favour with manager Paul Lambert.
In January 2018, the 29-year-old moved to Angers on loan [his second stint outside the club] and made 15 appearances for Les Scoistes across all competitions.
However, on Thursday, the Wolves confirmed that the former Bastia player has teamed up with the Stade Michel d'Ornano outfit permanently for an undisclosed fee.
“Prince Oniangue has joined French Ligue 1 side, SM Caen, for an undisclosed fee,” read a statement on the club website.
“The midfielder, who arrived at Wolves in August 2016, makes the permanent switch to Caen after two years at Molineux.
“Everyone at Wolves would like to thank Prince for his efforts while with the club and wish him the very best of luck for the future.”
Oniangue could make his first appearance for Caen when they clash with Le Havre in a friendly game on July 20.
