With both teams looking prolific in attack but suspect at the back, Al Hain-Cole expects an entertaining clash between the Dragoes and Klopp's men

Porto will be hoping to make home advantage count when they welcome Liverpool to the Estadio do Dragao for the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash on Wednesday.

Two of the Dragoes’ three group stage victories were recorded in front of their own fans, while they have come out on top just three times in their last 12 away matches in this competition.

Match Odds

Eager to give themselves a lead to defend for the trip to Anfield, they are priced at 21/10 (3.10) to secure an important first-leg advantage by coming out top here.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s team was one of just four to emerge from the first round without tasting defeat, and is on offer at 11/8 (2.38) to take control of the tie with a victory in Portugal.

Diego Reyes Porto

The previous two encounters between these sides at this ground have both resulted in draws, and you can get odds of 13/5 (3.60) on them cancelling each other out once again in this one.

Team News

Sergio Conceicao is without the suspended Felipe, while Ivan Marcano, Vincent Aboubakar, Danilo Pereira and Andre Andre all face late fitness tests.

Jordan Henderson should come in for the suspended Emre Can in the visiting midfield, otherwise Klopp will likely pick the same team that saw off Southampton at the weekend.

Goals aplenty

Having scored more times than anyone but Paris Saint-Germain in the first round, the Reds will certainly back themselves to secure a priceless away goal against a defence that conceded six in their three home group games.

However, results such as the 2-2 and 3-3 draws against Sevilla in the previous round make it hard to anticipate a Liverpool clean sheet, particularly given Porto are averaging three goals per game at home.

Match Odds

All in all, odds of 20/21 (1.95) seem generous on both teams getting on the scoresheet in an entertaining clash that produces over 2.5 goals.

Odds correct at the time of writing. Please gamble responsibly.
