PAHANG

Helmi Eliza Elias - 6/10

The custodian was rarely troubled by the visitors' forwards, but could not keep out the chance that led to their equaliser.

Zubir Azmi - 7/10

The left back put in a decent shift on the left wing.

Muslim Ahmad - 6/10

The former Malaysia centre back played well in overall, but was still beaten by Selangor forward Rufino Segovia in the run up to the visitors' equaliser.

Bunyamin Umar - 6/10

The former Selangor defender played well in overall as a centre back, but was still beaten by Rufino in the run up to the equaliser.

Matthew Davies - 7/10

The right back did little wrong in defence, and was able to join in the attack occasionally.

Azam Azih - 7/10

The midfielder combined well with Safuwan Baharudin to control the middle of the park.

Safuwan Baharudin - 7/10

The Singapore midfielder gave a decent performance, and it was his alertness that allowed him to provide the assist to Pahang's only goal of the night, when he pounced first on Austin Amutu's penalty rebound.

Wan Zaharulnizam Zakaria - 7/10

The winger had an average outing on Tuesday, but did enough to score the Elephants' only goal of the night, his first league goal of the season, and his second out of two consecutive matches.

Issey Nakajima-Farran - 6/10

The Canadian forward had a quiet night, could not threaten the visitors' danger area often, and was taken off in the second half for defender Faisal Rosli.

Norshahrul Idlan Talaha - 6/10

The former Malaysia forward too had a forgettable night, unable to penetrate the Selangor penalty area with his dribbles.

Austin Amutu - 5/10

The Nigerian forward continued his poor form, and he was evidently the flop of the night. He couldn't help threaten the Red Giants' defence, and even missed a penalty early in the second half. Luckily the penalty rebound resulted in their only goal of the night, but he was then substituted off for forward Faisal Abdul Halim.

Substitutions:

Faisal Abdul Halim - 6/10

The young forward came on early in the second half, but Pahang and him only started attacking with intent again towards the end of the match, which was a shame because everytime they attacked and he ran towards the defenders, the visitors struggled to keep them out. If he had started harrassing the Selangor defence five minutes earlier, maybe they would have found the winning goal and ended the match with three points.

Kogileswaran Mohana Raj, Faisal Rosli - NA

SELANGOR

Khairul Azhan Khalid - 6/10

The goalkeeper did enough to ensure the visitors come away with at least one point. Saved an Austin Amutu penalty, only to be beaten from the rebound attempt by Zaharulnizam moments later. Near the end of the match, the former Pahang man was almost beaten by a long range effort by Faisal Rosli.

Amirul Ashraf Ariffin - 6/10

The young right back played adequately.

Alfonso de la Cruz - 6/10

The Spanish centre back gave away the penalty that led to Wan Zaharulnizam's goal, but did sufficiently to make sure that the hosts could not score more.

Willian Pacheco - 7/10

The Brazilian centre back commanded his defence line well throughout the match, ensuring that the Elephants attackers had a relatively quiet night.

Kannan Kalaiselvan - 6/10

The left back performed well to protect his flank throughout the match, but should have done better to stop Safuwan Baharuddin in the run-up to Pahang's goal.

Saiful Ridzuwan Selamat - 6/10

The defensive midfielder did not have his best performance, and required help from the two centre backs.

Syahmi Safari - 6/10

The utility player, again turning out as a midfielder, did not combine well with Evan Dimas Darmono.

Evan Dimas Darmono - 6/10

The Indonesian midfielder had to sit deeper in the first half to help contain the hosts' dangerous attacks, and was unable to go up as often as he certainly would have liked.

Amri Yahyah - 7/10 (Man of the Match)

Amri Yahyah, Selangor, 2018

The veteran player, fielded as a forward at the start of the match, struggled to create chances and space. But when he was pushed back into midfield in the second half after a player change, he was able to dictate the game and tempo, and assisted the Red Giants' equaliser, which was scored by Rufino Segovia.

Rufino Segovia - 7/10

The Spanish striker extended his fine form, scoring his 22th goal of the 2018 season in all competitions, with his 62nd minute equaliser.

Ilham Armaiyn - 6/10

The Indonesian forward had a forgettable night just like his compatriot Evan, unable to receive deliveries from the midfield. But when he was presented with a golden chance to give Selangor the lead later in the second half, he failed to put away the chance.

Substitutions :

Azamuddin Akil - 5/10

The former Pahang man came on early in the second half for Evan, but failed to make an impact in the match. Playing as a forward, he failed to keep the ball and get past his former club's defence.

Halim Zainal, Sean Selvaraj - NA
