Not Ronaldo, not Gomez - Afriyie Acquah is Serie A’s most prolific dribbler

Comments
Neither the Juventus new arrival nor the Argentine lead the pack with the ball at their feet – that distinction belongs to the Ghana international

Empoli’s Afriyie Acquah is most enterprising when it comes to taking on opposite number in the Italian topflight, Opta has revealed.

Big-money Juventus signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Atalanta’s Alejandro Gomez are known for their dribbling skills, but they are far from the podium for most dribbles so far in Serie A.

Acquah, who joined the Blues from Torino in August leads the way, having completed six dribbles on his debut as Empoli spanked Cagliari in the Italian elite division’s opener.

Will the Ghana international keep his dribbling king title for another week? Or will there be a new leader after Week Two games?
