Liverpool vs Stoke City: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

Liverpool return to Premier League action on when they welcome relegation-threatened Stoke City to Anfield on Saturday and they will be eager to take a step closer to securing a top-four finish.

Jurgen Klopp's side come into the game having defeated Roma 5-2 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, setting one foot into the final ahead of the second leg on Wednesday.

That victory, which extended their unbeaten run to eight games, has undoubtedly left the Reds feeling buoyant, but they are in for a tough game against the Potters.

Match Preview

Jurgen Klopp Liverpool Manchester City

Liverpool could potentially have a Champions League final to look forward to after their game against Roma next week, but Klopp has refused to get carried away and Stoke City were not far from his thoughts after his side's sensational European performance on Tuesday.

"It's much better than I expected before the game but already I'm more interested in the Stoke game than the second leg against Roma," Klopp said. "The atmosphere tonight was absolutely outstanding and everyone who has a ticket I expect the same on Saturday [at home against Stoke City], because we need it."

The Reds have strung together an impressive run of results in recent weeks and, with just three games left to play in the Premier League, they will be keen to carry it on until the end of the campaign, with Chelsea and Brighton also on the agenda.

They easily overcame the Potters when the two sides met at the Brittania Stadium earlier this season, winning 3-0 thanks to goals Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who struck twice. Since then, Stoke have won just three times in 22 attempts in all competitions, suggesting that the odds are firmly stacked in Liverpool's favour.

Klopp may opt to rotate his squad in order to keep his key men fresh for Wednesday's game at Stadio Olimpico, but, as the German coach has noted, they cannot afford to take anything for granted, especially considering that Lambert's men are doggedly fighting for survival.
