Levante anticipate Emmanuel Boateng's return as forward return to training

Levante have been handed a boost as Emmanuel Boateng is set to return to the side ahead of the 2018-19 LaLiga season.

The talisman sustained a knee injury [a tear in the meniscus of his left knee] during his side’s 4-3 loss to AFC Bournemouth on July 20.

Although Boateng scored the Frogs’ second goal, he was substituted before the half-time at La Manga Stadium.

With less than eight days to go before their league opener against Real Betis, the Estadio Ciutat de Valencia outfit have confirmed that there is 'less left for the return of' the Ghana international.

“There is less left for the return of Emmanuel Boaten8! Do you feel like it?” the club tweeted with a picture of the forward smiling.

Boateng was in impressive form for the Valencia outfit last season with seven goals in 29 games across competitions.

Notable among the forward’s efforts was his hat-trick against Barcelona which ended the league champions unbeaten streak on May 13.

The 21-year-old will hope to be fit enough to feature alongside compatriot Raphael Dwamena and Nigeria’s Moses Simon when Levante lock horns against Real Zaragoza in their final pre-season game on August 11.
