Leicester City v Crystal Palace: Eagles to be outfoxed at the King Power

Leicester City will be looking to maintain their excellent recent form when Crystal Palace visit the King Power Stadium for Saturday’s Premier League clash.

Claude Puel’s men stretched their winning streak to four in a row by beating Southampton 4-1 on Wednesday, and are on offer at 10/11 (1.91) with Paddy Power to maintain that run with another victory here.

Meanwhile, the Eagles scored two late goals to earn a vital win over Watford in midweek, and can be backed at 3/1 (4.00) to follow that up by coming out on top in this one.

The sides shared a 2-2 draw when they last met back in April, and you can get odds of 13/5 (3.60) on them cancelling each other out once again on this occasion.

While he would not admit it, Puel must have been particularly pleased to see his side record such an emphatic victory at St Mary’s having been shown the door there after just a single season in command.

Although eyebrows were raised upon his appointment, Southampton’s loss is looking more and more like the Foxes’ gain as the Frenchman continues to oversee an excellent sequence of results.

In fact, only Burnley and the all-conquering Manchester City have taken more points than the Frenchman’s side since he took over from Craig Shakespeare, with Pep Guardiola his only vanquisher in a run of eight matches that has produced five wins.

With Riyad Mahrez looking increasingly back to his best in a team now firing on all cylinders, it is hard to see Roy Hodgson’s team joining Manchester City as the only team to leave the King Power without defeat since Puel’s arrival.

Having lost seven and won none of their nine away games this season, odds of 10/11 (1.91) seem generous on Palace succumbing to an in-form Leicester in this clash.
