Juventus v Genoa Betting Preview: Latest odds, team news, tips and predictions

Juventus will be aiming to close the gap on Serie A leaders Napoli when they welcome Genoa to the Juventus Stadium on Monday.

The Bianconeri are four points adrift of top spot in second place, but have a game in hand and are unbeaten in 11 fixtures in all competitions.

Match Odds

Having won 11 and lost none of their last 14 top flight home matches against this opposition, they are clear 2/9 (1.22) favourites with dabblebet to move back to within a point of first place by coming out on top here.

However, Davide Ballardini has lost just once in eight league matches since taking the reins in November, and is on offer at 14/1 (15.00) to mastermind a shock victory at the home of the champions.

None of the previous 10 encounters between the teams have resulted in draws, but there are odds of 5/1 (6.00) available on this one finishing up all square.

Team News

Massimiliano Allegri is without a number of big name players for this clash, including Gianluigi Buffon, Benedikt Howedes, Claudio Marchisio, Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala.

Aside from the suspended Ervin Zukanovic, the visitors are expected to be at full strength as Adel Taraabt has recovered from a minor injury problem.

Stubborn defences

Those absentees – particularly Dybala – could prove extremely significant for a home side that will be attempting to break down a visiting backline that has proved extremely stubborn since Ballardini’s arrival.

The former Palermo coach has seen his side concede just five times in 10 matches in all competitions, keeping a clean sheet in seven of those matches – including each of the last four in the league.

Having scored just seven times themselves in those 10 fixtures, Genoa look unlikely to cause too many problems at the other end of the pitch against a home defence that has only conceded once in 11 matches.

Tips and Predictions

All in all, odds of 19/20 (1.95) are not to be missed on under 2.5 goals being scored for Juventus’ eighth game in nine, as well as a 12th in 13 for their guests.
