‘Emirates was a party’ - Arsenal's ‘great’ Europa League start excites Alex Iwobi

Alex Iwobi has hailed Arsenal’s ‘great’ start to their 2018-19 Uefa Europa League campaign after defeating Vorskla 4-2 in an Emirates atmosphere described by the midfielder as a ‘party’.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's 32nd-minute goal, off a brilliant assist from the 22-year-old, had the Unai Emery's men started.

Efforts from Danny Welbeck, Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil put the game beyond the visitors who managed to force a tense final moment with two late goals.

Iwobi, playing for the first time - since his goalscoring display against Chelsea in August - due to illness, took to the social media to hail his team's performance and also the Gunners faithful.

“Great to start the Europa League campaign with a win,” Iwobi tweeted.

“Fans were amazing, Emirates was a party tonight.”
