Crystal Palace v Chelsea Betting: Blues to pile further woe onto Hodgson's men

With Conte's men in excellent form on the road, Al Hain-Cole is backing them to extend the Eagles' barren streak to record-breaking levels on Saturday

Crystal Palace will be hoping to finally get off the mark when they welcome Chelsea to Selhurst Park for Saturday's Premier League clash.

Having lost all eight of their opening seven league games without scoring a goal, Roy Hodgson's men are on offer at 41/5 (9.20) with BetSafe to end that barren run in dramatic fashion with a shock victory over their London rivals.

However, the Blues have come out on top in six of their last seven visits to this ground, and are priced at 41/100 (1.41) to prolong their opponents' misery with another win here.

None of the last 12 encounters between the sides have resulted in draws, but there are odds of 39/10 (4.90) available on them sharing the spoils on this occasion.

Already on their second manager of the season and without a single point or even a goal after seven games, it's fair to say that things could not have gone much worse for the Eagles so far this campaign.

While a difficult fixture list hasn't helped, they are now just one game away from becoming the first team in Football League history to lose nine consecutive games without finding the net.

Considering their recent head-to-head record, it looks fairly likely that unwanted record will be heading their way on Saturday - particularly given the visitors' form on the road.

Indeed, Antonio Conte is also on the verge of entering the history books as the first manager to lead the club to six consecutive away wins on more than one occasion, another landmark that looks set to be achieved.

In fairness, Palace's problems in front of goal did not begin this season, as they failed to score in three of their final four matches last campaign - losing every one.

All in all, odds of 113/100 (2.13) appear generous on Chelsea extending their away winning streak to six matches, while keeping a fourth clean sheet in that run.
