Chelsea v Manchester United Betting: Mourinho's men can put on another late show at Stamford Bridge

Sunday's Premier League schedule certainly promises plenty of action, but there looks like there is little to choose between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge as far as the match odds are concerned.

The hosts are 6/4 (2.50) with 888Sport to bounce back from their midweek Champions League defeat at Roma by picking up three points, while United are 21/10 (3.10) and the draw is a 43/20 (3.15) shot.

Defence is normally the aim of the game for Jose Mourinho against elite sides away from home, even if that doesn't sit well with some of the fans. Goals have been few and far between in recent meetings too, so it is no surprise to see just 16/25 (1.64) available on the under 2.5 line with 888Sport.

Both teams to score has only landed in one of the previous six head-to-head clashes between these sides in all competitions and it's 17/20 (1.85) that at least one of them fails to register a goal here, whilst the reverse is priced at 10/11 (1.91) for those who foresee a more open game.

With N'Golo Kante on his way back from injury, Chelsea could be a much tighter unit if the France international is available to play but his participation is still unclear at the time of writing.

Regardless of his potential inclusion, Antonio Conte will be desperate for his side to show more defensive prowess than the embarrassing display they put on in Rome.

GFX FACT CHELSEA V MANCHESTER UNITED

United have become specialists in late goals this season with 69.6% of the visitors' league strikes coming after the interval so far. What's more, the Red Devils have netted at least one second half goal in seven of their previous eight matches in all competitions with the exception to that run being the 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Having the likes of Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as options to stretch the game as the final stages approach is clearly something of a tactic for Mourinho and it's been shown to great effect, especially in light of Lukaku's struggles in front of goal in recent weeks.

888Sport offer United at Evens (2.0) to score a second half goal and considering the game plan is likely to be taking a more cautious approach for at least 45 minutes then looking to exploit any fatigue as the game wears on, that selection holds plenty of appeal in what could be a tight encounter in the early stages.

Fancy goals at both ends in this game and Manchester City's clash with Arsenal? 888Sport are going 2/1 (3.0) for all customers here.
