Betting: Lukaku 4/1 to top Premier League scoring charts at Man Utd

The £75 million man has secured his move to Old Trafford and is now a clear second favourite behind Tottenham's Harry Kane for the Golden Boot

After seeing their captain Wayne Rooney go back to Goodison Park, Manchester United have finally confirmed that Romelu Lukaku will be heading in the opposite direction.

For much of the last few months it was Chelsea who dominated the market to bring the 24-year-old back to Stamford Bridge, but a reunion with Jose Mourinho looks to have swung the deal United's way.

The Belgium international has an impressive scoring record in the Premier League, already hitting 85 top-flight goals in just 186 appearances.

With those kind of numbers in mind, it's of little surprise to see the new United frontman priced at just 4/1 (5.0) with dabblebet to win the top scorer award next season.

Harry Kane is the market principle at 11/4 (3.75) having won the award in each of the previous two campaigns and the feeling is that Lukaku's move to Manchester will see him build upon his tally of 26 goals for Everton last term.

In what looks a particularly open betting heat, Sergio Aguero (11/2) and Gabriel Jesus (6/1) are also towards the front of the market while the 7/1 (8.0) on Diego Costa looks easy enough to avoid given a potential move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Red Devils men may have managed Champions League qualification at the final hurdle but the bookmakers expect them to challenge for the title this time around. They're available at 10/3 (4.33) to finish top of the pile, behind only their city rivals Manchester City who are 15/8 (2.88).

Elsewhere, it's 1/4 (1.25) with dabblebet that United secure a top-four spot and 13/8 (2.62) that they are crowned the top North West club where Lukaku's former club Everton are also listed as 33/1 (34.0) chances.

United start their season at home to West Ham, where Mourinho's side are just 1/3 (1.33) to collect maximum points against the Hammers.
