Belgium v England Betting Tips: Kane to clinch the Golden Boot against the Red Devils

While the World Cup trophy will not be coming home, Harry Kane will be keen to ensure the Golden Boot returns to England when he faces Belgium in Saturday’s third place play-off.

The Three Lions captain currently leads the scoring charts with six goals, although he has failed to find the net since converting a penalty in the last 16 clash with Colombia.

Nevertheless, the Tottenham Hotspur man is William Hill’s 10/3 (4.33) favourite to strengthen his grip on the individual honours by opening the scoring in Saint Petersburg.

The 24-year-old’s two-match streak without a goal is his longest barren run for Gareth Southgate’s men since November 2016, and 10/11 (1.91) anytime odds offer solid value on him ending that run.

At the other end of the pitch, Romelu Lukaku will be equally determined to close the two-goal gap that separates him from Kane, and can be backed at 4/1 (5.00) to break the deadlock for the Red Devils.

With 17 goals to his name in the last 14 internationals, the Manchester United star also offers plenty of temptation at his own 11/10 (2.10) anytime price.

While Kane and Lukaku are likely to start as they hunt more goals, both managers could well use this clash to offer a chance to some of the less used members of the squad.

Marcus Rashford’s only previous start in Russia was in the final group game defeat against this same opposition, and he is on offer at 23/10 (3.30) to show fans what they have been missing by scoring his first World Cup goal.

Jamie Vardy also failed to shine when he played from the start in that defeat, but is priced at 6/4 (2.50) to get on the scoresheet here.

Michy Batshuayi does have one goal to his name despite being used mainly a substitute for Belgium, but is available at 5/4 (2.25) to double that tally by hitting the back of the net here.

Dries Mertens has not scored since hitting his country’s opening goal of the tournament versus Panama, but can be backed at 12/5 (3.40) to round off the competition with another goal in this final match.
