BARCA PLOT €20M OZIL MOVE

Barcelona believe a €20 million offer will be enough to sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal in January,  Mundo Deportivo reports.

The Catalan side have picked the 29-year-old attacking midfielder as a potential alternative to their top target Philippe Coutinho, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Ozil will be a much cheaper alternative as he reportedly has no interest in signing a new contract, meaning Arsenal could take the money in January before he leaves on a free.


BARCA TRACKING LYON MIDFIELDER

Barcelona are closely following the progress of Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart this season, claims Mundo Deportivo .

Tousart has caught the eye since stepping in to replace the departed Corentin Tolisso and has been watched by several key Barca personnel this term.


OZIL IS BARCA'S COUTINHO BACK-UP

Barcelona are lining up Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil as a back-up signing to Philippe Coutinho, reports Mundo Deportivo .

Liverpool star Coutinho is again expected to be targeted by Barca during the January transfer window after they failed to push through a deal in the summer.

But, if Liverpool stand firm once more on Coutinho, Barca will instead move for Ozil, who is out of contract at the end of the season and could be available for a reasonable fee in January.

Barcelona have stepped up their interest in signing Nabil Fekir following reports Arsenal have made an offer for the Lyon attacker, according to Sport .

Fekir has enjoyed an impressive season so far for Lyon and is a prime target for Arsenal, while Real Madrid have also scouted him.

However, Barca are determined not to miss out on a deal for Fekir and have made contact regarding a deal which could cost in excess of €50 million.


NEYMAR WANTED TO CANCEL PSG TRANSFER

A repentant Neymar tried to pull the plug on his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain before the deal was even signed, claims Marca .

The Brazilian became the world's most expensive player this summer when he swapped Barcelona for the French capital in a €222 million transfer. But he was apparently distraught upon finalising the paperwork, and asked Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu to cancel the deal. 

Thanks to the manoeuvrings of father and agent Neymar Sr., however, the deal reportedly was completed against the player's wishes.


NAPOLI BACK IN FOR BARCA ATTACKER

Napoli are ready to make a fresh move to sign Barcelona forward Denis Suarez when the transfer window reopens in January, reports Corriere dello Sport .

Suarez has struggled for regular first-team football this season and, having been a long-term target for Napoli, the Serie A side will try to finally sign the 23-year-old.

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Brazilian striking sensation Lincoln, claims Calcio Mercato .

Lincoln impressed at the recent Under-17 World Cup in India, and is already a target for Barcelona and Real Madrid.

United and Juventus are also monitoring the 17-year-old, although his club Flamengo will not sell for less than €30 million.

Fekir is enjoying an impressive campaign for Lyon and the 24-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or striker, has been scouted by Barcelona.

Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United are also reported to be interested in Fekir, and now Madrid are keeping a close eye on his form this season.


BARCA MIDFIELDER SET FOR NEW DEAL

Barcelona aim to hand Sergi Roberto a new five-year contract to ward off interest from Manchester City and Manchester United, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Premier League duo have been linked with a move for Sergi Roberto, whose current deal expires in 2019.

However, Barca plan to extend his contract and increase his release clause from €40 million to €400m to ensure Sergi Roberto stays at Camp Nou.


GORETZKA WANTS PREMIER LEAGUE MOVE

Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka wants to move to the Premier League when his contract expires next summer, according to Sport .

Germany’s national team general manager Oliver Bierhoff has suggested the money on offer in English football is a persuasive factor for the likes of Goretzka, who has been interesting Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

However, the 22-year-old will ignore interest from those clubs in order to head to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all having been linked with an approach.


BARCA TO RAISE UMTITI RELEASE CLAUSE TO €180M

Barcelona will start talks with reported Manchester United target Samuel Umtiti over a new contract at the beginning of 2018, reports Sport

Umtiti’s current deal expires in 2021 and he earns €3 million per year, with the French defender’s release clause standing at €60m.

He is in line for a wage increase and extension, while Barca also want to raise his release clause to €180m to ward off Premier League interest in Umtiti.

Barcelona were offered Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, but turned down the chance to sign the striker, according to Mundo Deportivo .

Following Neymar's move to PSG the German club made an overture to the Catalans, but the Camp Nou side decided against bidding for the 28-year-old because Luis Suarez was already in place as the club's No. 9. 


BARCA MAKE £105M COUTINHO BID

Barcelona have made a £105 million bid to secure Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, according to Sport

The Catalan side unsuccesfully tried to land Coutinho in the summer, but have already returned with a new offer in an attempt to secure the Brazilian star in January. 

According to the report, though Liverpool consistently turned down Barca's bids in the summer, the Reds would be willing to accept a straight £132m cash offer.

The Camp Nou outfit are now weighing up a potential transfer, with Fekir seen as a more affordable option compared to Philippe Coutinho.

Flamengo will not sell Barcelona and Real Madrid target Lincoln for anything less than €30 million, reports  Marca .

Lincoln impressed for Brazil at the recent Under-17 World Cup in India and the striker has now been promoted to Flamengo’s first team.

With Madrid having already agreed to spend €45 million on Lincoln’s fellow teenage forward Vinicius Junior, Flamengo will not allow their own highly-rated youngster to leave on the cheap.


PSG TO SELL £70M DUO IN JANUARY

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to sell Angel Di Maria and Lucas Moura during the January transfer window in order to raise £70 million, reports  Le 10 Sport .

The French giants need to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations and are likely to try to bring in some money by offloading fringe players.

Di Maria was a target for Barcelona during the summer, while Brazilian attacker Lucas Moura has been linked with Chelsea.

Barcelona are ready to clerar out a host of first-teamers in the January transfer window, with Arda Turan, Aleix Vidal and Thomas Vermaelen all available for sale, claims Sport .

Coach Ernesto Valverde is keen to streamline his somewhat unwieldy Blaugrana squad ahead of the second half of the season, and it is no surprise to see Arda and Vermaelen, scarcely used so far, on the way out. 

Vidal, however, has lost ground at right back as Nelson Semedo has come through to claim the spot alongside Sergi Roberto, and appears to be also surplus to requirements at Camp Nou.


MENDES WANTS €100M BARCA DEAL FOR JAMES

James Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes wants to persuade Bayern Munich to sign the on-loan Real Madrid playmaker permanently, and then sell him to Barcelona for €100 million, claims Don Balon .

Bayern signed Rodriguez on a two-year loan deal in the summer and have the option to take the Colombia international on a permanent basis for €60m.

However, Rodriguez is unhappy at Bayern following the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti, with reports suggesting Thiago Alcantara and Arturo Vidal are also unsettled at the Allianz Arena.

Mendes wants to engineer a move to Barca for Rodriguez, although the player’s gratitude towards Madrid could be one of the stumbling blocks in any deal.


MONACO & BARCA HAD MBAPPE AGREEMENT

Barcelona and Monaco had agreed a transfer for Kylian Mbappe before the 18-year-old ultimately signed with Paris Saint-Germain, according to L'Equipe .

The deal reportedly would have seen Mbappe join the Catalans, with Arda Turan going the other way, but the France international did not give the move his seal of approval.

Mbappe instead ended up signing with PSG on a season-long loan ahead of an expected €180 million permanent move next summer.
