McGuane has made two substitute appearances for Arsenal in the Europa League this season and has also been linked with a move to Napoli.

The 18-year-old is looking to head to a club where he will play regularly and Rangers hope that will boost their chances of agreeing a deal.


SOUTHAMPTON & EVERTON BATTLE FOR WALCOTT

Southampton and Everton are ready to go head-to-head for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, according to the Daily Telegraph .

There is reportedly an acceptance at the club that Walcott's time is up, and both the Saints and the Toffees are now ready to exploit the situation.

The Saints, flush from their sale of Virgil van Dijk to Liverpool for £75 million, believe they could reignite Walcott's faltering career, having given him his start in the 2005-06 season.

Everton, meanwhile, are in the market for a Premer League goalscorer as Sam Allardyce looks to refresh his squad.

Barcelona are set to lose out to Bayern Munich in the chase for Schalke promise Leon Goretzka, according to Marca .

Along with fellow Schalke star Max Meyer, the midfielder had been linked with Camp Nou as part of a long-term renewal of the engine room. 

Arsenal and Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Goretzka, whose contract is up at the end of the current season. 

The newspaper, however, assures that the youngster has already agreed to move across the Bundesliga to Allianz Arena, frustrating the Blaugrana's hopes.


SANCHEZ WANTS REAL MADRID SWITCH

The 22-year-old winger joined the Eindhoven club from Pachuca in the summer after rejecting Manchester City and has been a revelation in the Eredivisie with 11 goals in 16 games.

He has been attracting Europe's top sides with his starring role for Phillip Cocu's side and the two English clubs are expected to make a push for him.

Lyon have ruled out selling Fekir in the January transfer window, with Arsenal aware they will have to fork out a club record €60m to sign the forward once the season is over.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly ready to cut his losses on Benzema, with Arsenal rumoured to have already made a €40m bid for the Frenchman.

Perez values Benzema at significantly more, but the likes of Arsenal, who are expected to be in the market for a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, will not go higher than €40m.
