Al Ain appointed Mamic after his resignation from Al Nassr - Hammad

The recent appointment of Al Nassr’s former coach, Zoran Mamic as Zlatko Dalic’s successor as Al Ain’s coach has drawn some controversy, and Al Ain’s board member, Mohammed Obaid Hammad commented on the issue.

“We got a call from Zoran’s agent the night of Al Nassr’s clash with Al Qadisiya in the Saudi league, and the coach’s services were offered to us. We were surprised and didn’t make a move, but the agent asserted that the coach will end his work at Al Nassr after the game for family reasons.”

The Al Ain official concluded: “We added Zoran’s name to our shortlist after confirming that he’ll resign, and we didn’t approach him before he ended his ties with Al Nassr officially. We signed with him and presented him to the media as our coach, and we wish him good luck with Al Ain in the coming period.”
