Official: Sporting Braga Sign Hugo Viana From Valencia
Sporting Braga have completed the transfer of Hugo Viana from Valencia...
By Stefan Coerts
Braga were eager to add another midfielder to their squad before the end of the transfer window and head coach Domingos Pacienca had made the capture of Viana the club's primary target.
Viana was surplus to requirements at Valencia and was therefore allowed to leave on a free. He was already shipped out on loan to Braga in the 2009-10 campaign.
"We were talking since the end of last season and with Braga's effort and my desire to return we knew this process would have a happy ending," Viana was quoted as saying on the official Braga website.
The Portugal international has also played at Sporting CP, Newcastle United and Osasuna in the past.
