Kléber - Cruzeiro x Barueri
Liga Sagres powerhouse Porto released an official statement on Friday claiming that the Champions League hopefuls had secured the services of Brazilian attacker Kleber from Cruzeiro, but the transfer has now fallen through after the striker failed to reach an agreement with Porto.

Porto and Cruzeiro had already reached an agreement about a transfer fee of €5.5 million. Additionally, Cruzeiro had acquired 75 per cent of the rights on Argentinian attacker Sergio Farias.

The Portuguese champions had supposedly also agreed terms with Kleber already, but the 26-year-old forward eventually asked for a higher salary and a shorter contract.

Porto were reluctant to meet Kleber's new demands though and have therefore decided to cancel the transfer. Jesualdo Ferreira's side confirmed the news on Monday in an official statement.

The collapsed transfer means that Farias will stay at Porto after all, while Kleber will continue to play his trade with Cruzeiro.
