Benfica Star Pablo Aimar Fined For Diving
The Argentinian midfielder has been handed a fine for simulation...
By Stefan Coerts
The Argentine midfielder went to ground inside the penalty area without being touched by an opponent when Benfica were leading 2-1. Oscar Cardozo converted the spot kick and the Lisbon titans eventually cruised to a comfortable 6-1 win.
Porto attacker Lisandro Lopez was handed a one-match ban for simulation last year, but the disciplinary committee of the FPF decided not to suspend Aimar because of the different circumstances in which the simulation took place.
Lisandro's spot kick earned Porto an important equaliser last term, while Aimar's action supposedly did not influence the eventual result. Therefore, the former Valencia star was only punished with a fine.

It's 4-0 Milan and Arsenal are looking like a second division team here!
Lets go over to Sergio Stanco now, who has an update for us from San Siro:
"After the third goal was scored the Milan fans began to sing “whoever doesn't jump is an Inter fan!” and the entire stadium burst into dance.
"A rather concerned looking English colleague turned to me to ask for reassurance, such is the level of excitement here tonight!"
Olaleye Samsideen Olamide said: “I don't think so. Not with the way the Gunners are playing. Lets see what happens...”
Athos Gomes Fonseca was less forgiving, stating: “Arsenal confirmed as football's biggest joke.”
Harmed Hordeday Dewale on the other hand, said: “Arsenal can still come back and score, but only if Wenger gets rid of Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain is added to the attack.”
Fair play, Harmed. But what about this atrocious defending we're being subjected to?
