Nacional De Madeira Appoint Predrag Jokanovic As New Head Coach
The Portuguese outfit have appointed a replacement for the hospitalised Manuel Machado...
Jokanovic takes the reins from Manuel Machado, who has been hospitalised since 27 November and will not return to work this season.
"After clarification of the clinical situation of our coach and in anticipation of his absence for a time period that will not be short, the decision has been made to give the squad a new command, thus guaranteeing an identical structure to that under Manuel Machado,” a statement on the club's official website read.
"Jokanovic also spoke of the temporary nature of the contract: “Professor Manuel Machado is the coach of this team and is also my coach. For this reason my hope is that he gets back to full health quickly so that he can take his place as soon as possible."
Jokanovic is not new to the role, having previously trained Nacional from 2006 until 2008.
