Radamel Falcao, Porto (Peace Cup)
Portuguese titleholders Porto beat Cypriot side APOEL 1-0 on Tuesday evening following a goal from hitman Radamel Falcao after 82 minutes of play.

The 23-year-old striker has taken Portugal by storm since signing from River Plate in the summer and his second Champions League strike again proved pivotal. The Colombian, though, refused to take sole credit for Porto's 1-0 victory.

"The team in general did a great job. The team worked for the victory and that made it possible for me to play well," Falcao was quoted as saying by uefa.com.

"I feel composed and have a lot of confidence in my game and in the end the reward for our effort was the goal. It made me personally very happy and it secured my team's passage into the next round."

Porto have collected nine points from their initial four Champions League games and are one of the four teams that have already qualified for the knockout phase.
