Radamel Falcao Claims Porto Are Not In Crisis
The Colombian forward has made it clear that there is no crisis at Porto...
Porto have made a rather disappointing start to the 2009-10 league campaign. They have collected 10 points from their first five matches and were beaten by leaders Sporting Braga last week. Striker Radamel Falcao played down the idea that Porto are in a crisis though and is full of confidence ahead of the clash against Sporting CP this weekend.
“Are we in crisis? I don’t like the word crisis. FC Porto are not in a crisis. We lost a couple of games but all our aspirations are intact. The defeats do not bring us down," Falcao said to Desporto.
"This weekend's match against Sporting is my first 'classico' so I’m very excited about the game and looking forward to it. You can’t approach these matches from an individual point of view though.
"The fact that the team has an enormous will to win is what matters. A 'classico' is too important to worry about looking backwards. Our poor results are in the past. They were seen, reviewed and our mistakes have been detected. FC Porto is a team that looks ahead and the chance to beat another great team is just the ticket to get back to winning ways."
