Barcelona And Real Madrid Both Keen On Bruno Alves - Reports
The defender looks as though he will leave Porto this summer...
The Portuguese centre-back had a brilliant season with Porto last year and at the age of 27 the time seems to be right for him to step up another level and join a bigger club.
Whether that will be Madrid or Barcelona remains to be seen, but the Catalans are thought to be leading the race at the moment.
Marca reports that the European Champions have been in contact with his agent Jorge Mendes and they have discussed his situation at length.
Whilst his buy-out clause is €30 million, it is believed that a €20 million bid would be enough to lure him away from Porto.
That could be lowered with the addition of Henrique into a deal though, with the defender not yet a certainty to remain with Barcelona.
With regards to Madrid, a lot will depend on whether or not Manuel Pellegrini is happy with Ezequiel Garay or not.
If he is, then they will almost certainly not sign another centre-back, but if the Chilean wishes to add to the squad, Alves is an option.
