Reported Everton target Raul Meireles has recently penned a new deal with Portuguese Liga side FC Porto.

The contract extension sees the central midfielder tied to the club until the summer of 2013, meaning interest from David Moyes will have to be directed elsewhere.

Meireles was an impressive figure in Porto's Champions League run this year, bringing his price tag to an estimated £8 million. However, the 26-year-old now has a hefty buy-out clause of £30 million.

Despite signing the new contract with Porto, Meireles has not ruled out a future move to the Premier League.

"I am happy at Porto and want to win titles," Sport.co.uk quote the Portugal international as saying.

"Go abroad? You can never rule anything out but it would have to be positive for everyone involved."
