Suazo To Remain At Benfica...For Now
Benfica striker David Suazo and his agent insist he will stay at Benfica at least until the season's end...
David Suazo is on-loan at Benfica from Internazionale, but his form in the Liga Sagres has attracted many suitors.
It was rumoured the Honduran international could be on his way to the English Premier League, but today his agent, Giovanni Branchini, laid those claims to rest.
"He is very happy and wants to enjoy this wonderful period in his career," he said, according to Calciomercato. "Speaking of the market at this time would be premature, but there are English clubs on his tail."
The latest reports suggest that Aston Villa, Everton, and Newcastle are those that want to bring Suazo in immediately, as well as some Spanish clubs.
However, it is unlikely anything will be decided until the end of the season when Inter and Benfica will get together to decide the player's future.
Suazo did suffer an injury shortly after arriving at Benfica, but has been prolific for the Portuguese club nonetheless, scoring five goals in 10 appearances in all competitions.
