No Offers For Veloso - Sporting
A Sporting spokesman has revealed that the Portuguese club have received no offers for in-demand midfielder Miguel Veloso...
Veloso, who can also play in defence and at left-back, has in the past been linked with Manchester United and Milan, with Arsenal and Juventus having emerged as stronger contenders in recent weeks.
The holding midfielder is thought to have a minimum fee release clause of €30 million, but past quotes from his agent have refuted the notion that the club will hold out for an offer that high, as if the player wishes to move on - as he has stated in the past - then he is likely to be available for closer to €20 million.
Despite that, a club spokesperson has revealed to skysports.com that, despite the reported interest in the Portuguese international, no official approach has been made.
"We have not received any official offers for Miguel Veloso," he said.
"The rumours appear each day in the press, but really Sporting do not know of any offers for our player."
