The Swede, who enjoyed a summer off due to Sweden's failure to reach the World Cup finals, wants to keep les Parisiens lifting trophies in 2014-15

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has challenged his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates to prove that they are a great team by building on last season's success.

Although les Parisiens won Ligue 1 for the second campaign in a row - as well as the Coupe de la Ligue - they failed to get beyond the quarter-final stage of the Champions League as European domination continues to elude the cash-rich club.

Ahead of the defence of their Trophee des Champions against Coupe de France winners Guingamp, the Swedish striker hopes that PSG can build on 2013-14's victories in his third campaign at the Parc des Princes.

"PSG's goal is to do better than last season, which was fantastic with us bagging three trophies," he told reporters on Friday.

"New players have joined us and they're expected to help the team progress. We're training hard and we are very focused on the continuation of success at the club. We want to advance the project.

"There is a lot of pressure, but the players here are accustomed to that. It is not enough to say we have a good team, we must show it.

"I had a good holiday. I went to the World Cup in Brazil and watched it. I have now been back training for three weeks.

"On Saturday we play our first official game and we can win a trophy. It's a title-winning game - if we win the first game, we can focus on other trophies. We are ready and we remain a good team, even if we are missing some players."

Les Parisiens kick off their Trophee des Champions clash with Guingamp in Beijing, China at 14:00CET on Saturday.
