The Arsenal boss believes that the Auxerre youngster can look forward to a brilliant career, provided that he remains level-headed and focused solely on his football
Ntep, who has scored six times in 16 Ligue 2 games so far this season, is rumoured to be a transfer target for Roma, Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain this January.
Speaking on Sunday, Wenger hailed the startlet's potential but stressed that much depends on the France Under-21 international retaining a positive state of mind.
"Paul George Ntep has the potential to have a great future," the 64-year-old told French football programme Telefoot.
"Whether he will or not all depends on his mind."
Ntep, whose side are struggling in 11th place in France's second tier, revealed that he has already rejected the opportunity to move to Qatar, preferring to continue his development in France.
"I'm focused on my game," the 21-year-old said.
"I have already refused an offer from Qatar. I had a villa my disposal, a luxury car and they offered me €1.5 million a year. I have no regrets.
"I have qualities that allow me to adapt to any type of game. If I keep playing well, I'll make money. I'm in no rush."
