thumbnail Hello,

The Paris Saint-Germain boss praised his star player's winning mentality but does not expect the French champions to remain undefeated this season

Laurent Blanc has labelled Zlatan Ibrahimovic as "a born competitior" after he starred in Paris Saint-Germain's 3-0 win at Reims on Saturday.

The striker set up Lucas Moura's opener and capitalised on goalkeeper Kossi Agassa's error in the 90th minute for his ninth league goal of the season.

Blanc was thrilled with the 32-year-old's performance, stating his admiration for the way he conducted himself despite the midweek disappointment of losing the World Cup play-off to Portugal with his Sweden side.

"You [the media] assumed Ibra would be affected," Blanc said after the match. "Behind every great player is a great competitor.

"This is a born competitor; when he finds the competition, he is there, he wants to win, he wants to score and he does it in the end."

PSG are unbeaten in 25 Ligue 1 games after they secured a simple victory at Stade Auguste Delaune, but Blanc does not believe his side to be invincible.

"We came here with ambition and we have been able to dominate Reims," he added. "People watch us hoping we lose. It will happen, but we will try to ensure it comes as late as possible.

"There are periods when you sense that the players have mastered everything individually and are a collective force that can overcome any test.

"It is a period that must be appreciated as a coach because there are others when it doesn't work and you can't win."

Les Parisiens sit at the top of Ligue 1 with 34 points, seven clear of Lille, who have a game in hand.
