The former Barcelona and Inter midfielder is optimistic about the Ligue 1 champions' chances of European glory
The Italy international previously won European club football's elite competition with Barcelona in 2006 and with Inter in 2010 and he feels PSG are not too far away from the level of his two former teams.
"What likens us to those teams and to all great teams that have won the Champions League is that we have very important players," Motta was quoted as saying on the official Ligue 1 website.
"If we continue on the road we're on, we can achieve great results, even reach the Champions League final.
"There isn't much difference between us and those teams, whether it be technically, physically, or in our team play. But I think we still commit mistakes and we need to fix that."
Paris Saint-Germain currently sit atop of Group C with nine points from three games and can book their ticket for the knockout stages with victory over Anderlecht on matchday 4.
