The 28-year-old striker suffered a toe injury in Saturday's 0-0 stalemate away to Bastia, and will not be fit enough to line-up against Christophe Galtier's side.
Gignac has fired in three goals in six league appearances so far this season, but Baup says he has enough options to replace the hitman.
"Saber Khalifa made a good start in the Bastia game," Baup told the club's official website.
"He has already been left and right but he can also play in the centre. Playing Jordan Ayew in Corsica was also interesting."
Baup can also recall Dimitri Payet after missing out against Bastia and the 58-year-old hopes his return may add some spice to an attack which has been short of goals.
"There will always be four offensive players, or even five," he continued.
"We must keep this idea and this will lead to goals. Do not panic and do not change the project."
