The 25-year-old struck in the first-half to ensure Ancelotti's triumphant victory against his former employers, and believes the team can aspire to even greater heights under their new coach.
"We are still in preparation. The training sessions are heavy," Benzema told reporters after the match. "But little by little, we grow in strength. Ancelotti is a good coach.
"He is close to his players and it is important. We changed tactics a little bit. It is good for the team.
"I hope we will settle quickly."
Los Blancos embark on their tour of the United States next, with the Bernabeu outfit's latest result against French opposition following their 2-2 draw against Lyon on Wednesday.
