The 19-year-old left-back has revealed that his primary objective is ensuring that les Parisiens make it back-to-back championship wins

Lucas Digne has set his sights on helping Paris Saint-Germain retain their Ligue 1 title following his move to the Parc des Princes from Lille.

The full-back penned a five-year contact with the French champions on Wednesday, with the capital club having reportedly agreed to hand over €15 million for the teenager.

Digne knows that he faces a real challenge in trying to break into the PSG starting line-up but he still hopes to play his part in a successful title defence.

"There are some really big stars in the team and I can't wait to play alongside the likes of Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Blaise Matuidi and Edinson Cavani," he told his new club's official website.

"You progress faster when you're rubbing shoulders with great players. When you sign for the French champions, you have to defend your crown. That will be one of the objectives. We will also try and go as far as possible in the Champions League.

"On a personal level, I will try and get as much playing time as possible. We will see how things go."

The 19-year-old left-back was one of the stars of France's triumph at this summer's Under-20 World Cup.
