thumbnail Hello,

The 44-year-old boss intends to sit down with the Manchester City midfielder after naming him in his squad to play Brazil and Uruguay in next month's friendlies

Didier Deschamps will hold discussions with Samir Nasri after handing him a recall to the France fold ahead of the upcoming friendlies in South America.

Nasri has not represented les Bleus since Euro 2012, having been handed a three-game ban by the French Football Federation (FFF) as punishment for his behaviour during the tournament, which included verbally abusing a journalist.

However, despite snubbing the Manchester City man since his suspension, Deschamps now appears ready to rebuild his relationship with the player.

"I don't want to have any radical position on anything," the 44-year-old was quoted by Sky Sports.

"I will have an opportunity to talk with him alone, together. It will be the very first time in a year. But the past is past. He cannot go back or erase it.

"The most important criteria is the sporting aspect."

Nasri, who has scored twice in 27 Premier League appearances this campaign, is now poised to have some involvement in the games against Uruguay on June 5 and Brazil on June 9.

There was no such reprieve for Patrice Evra though, who continues his absence from the national team.

"It is sporting choice," Deschamps stressed when asked about the Manchester United left-back.

"I decided to not call him up. There is no privileged position for him and I told him."
