thumbnail Hello,

The Brazilian admits he feels a part of his former team-mates' celebrations after they won the Ligue 1 title on Sunday

Former Paris Saint-Germain winger Nene says he "feels like a champion" after watching the club lift their first league title since 1995.

After three years with les Parisiens, the Brazilian moved to Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa in January, having made just nine league appearances for Carlo Ancelotti's side in the first half of the season.

And though his time at PSG is now in the past, Nene revealed he still feels as though he made a valuable contribution to the club's Ligue 1 success, after their 1-0 win over Lyon secured the title.

“I played in the first part, I scored goals and provided assists,” the 31-year-old wrote on his official website.

“I feel like a champion.”

Nene was the club’s leading goal scorer last season, but summer signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi eventually forced him out of the team.

However, he appears to have no hard feelings towards Paris Saint-Germain and his former team-mates.

“I am very happy for my friends and for PSG fans who deserve this title.”
