Saint-Etienne's Brazilian striker angrily refuted suggestions that there is a rift between him and his compatriot in an outburst against his detractorsBrandao has dismissed notions of a feud between him and Thiago Silva after Saint-Etienne's 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain earlier in March.
The two Brazilians had a running battle during the game, as les Verts came from 2-0 down to salvage a point against the Ligue 1 leaders, with some reports in France suggesting that the striker behaved too aggressively towards his compatriot.
However, Brandao has strongly denied any claims that the match has resulted in a deeper disagreement between the pair.
"I've done nothing to Thiago Silva," the 32-year-old stressed to Le10sport.com.
"There is no problem between us. I have also not had to apologise to him. It's easy to criticise me on television when you have never played football. I am the one on the pitch."
Indeed, the striker insists his combative style is an important part of his game, having scored 10 goals in 21 league appearances this season.
"I am a warrior who always wants to win," he continued.
"I was with the Ukrainian champions, Shakhtar Donetsk, and in France with Olympique de Marseille. I play with humility. Follow my football and my work. Anyone who criticizes me had better shut up."
