The man in charge at Paris Saint-Germain thinks the first-team coach will stay with the side, and is happy with how the club is performing across all competitions
Speculation continues to mount over the future of the former Chelsea boss with Jose Mourinho refusing to rule out a move to the Ligue 1 leaders.
But Al-Khelaifi insists as long as the Italian is happy with his role, he will remain at the club because he has done a fantastic job so far.
"If he wants, he will still be there. He has done an excellent job. This has sometimes been difficult because he is under pressure, as in all professions, but he is doing very well. Carlo is one of the best coaches in the world if not the best,” Al-Khelaifi told Le Parisien.
“I think he will continue [with us] but at the end of the season we’ll balance the sheets. This is normal, it happens like that in all societies.
“We are in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France, the Champions League and we lead the league. What else can you ask for?”
Al-Khelaifi added that director of football Leonardo will also remain with the team.
He said: "Yes, he will stay. I have a very good relationship with him. People think we have a problem. I do not know where it's coming but it makes me laugh a lot.”
