David Beckham could miss the chance to watch his new Paris Saint-Germain team-mates in action this week due to the heavy snowfall which has blighted New York.
The former England captain had flown out to America to be by wife Victoria's side for her New York Fashion week show, a journey which had also been affected by the elements.
Beckham was due to fly out with sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz shortly before the weekend, but their flight was cancelled after heavy snow had blanketed much of the US east coast.
Determined not to miss out on his wife's show - the unveiling of her autumn-winter fashion range at the city's public library venue - the 37-year-old arrived at Heathrow airport at 6am on Friday in order to grab a last-minute seat on any available flight.
Although he was able to be present at the event, he now faces further difficulty in catching a flight to Spain in time to watch PSG's Champions League last-16 clash with Valencia, with the bad weather showing no signs of abating.
The club's sporting director, Leonardo, told RMC on Sunday: "The problem is with the weather in New York. He is still waiting. We'll see if he can come directly to Valencia."
Beckham was not expected to be fit to play in the clash on Tuesday, but he was planning on attending the game to watch from the stands.
He was left out of the squad to face Valencia which Carlo Ancelotti named on Monday afternoon, though he is expected to be included in PSG's next game with Sochaux.
