The Paris Saint-Germain striker has been banned for games away to Montpellier and a home game against Rennes after being shown a red card this weekend

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been suspended for two games following his sending off in Paris Saint-Germain's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Saint Etienne.
The striker, 31, was shown the red card after he was judged to have challenged Les Verts’ Stephane Ruffier dangerously, inadvertently raising a boot into the goalkeeper’s chest in a challenge for the ball.
LFP chairman Pascal Garibian said the Sweden international’s punishment was based on the assumption that the collision was accidental.
"Ibrahimovic has been penalised for two games for firm foul play," Garibian told reporters.
"A bad foul is a foul which puts the opponent's fitness in danger. The absence of the will to injure the opponent doesn't matter. Otherwise, it would have an action designed to hurt and the punishment would be different."
The 31-year-old will miss the visit of Rennes to Parc des Princes on November 17 as well as the trip to reigning champions Montpellier this weekend.
Ibrahimovic has scored 10 goals in Ligue 1 this season to help propel Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the top of the table with 22 points from 11 games.
