Mutu is a valuable asset to Ajaccio, says Eduardo
The attacker has talked about the experience his team-mate brings to the dressing room, and has suggested the Romanian's best form is still to come once he becomes fully fit
Ajaccio star Eduardo says strike partner Adrian Mutu is a great player who adds to their team both on and off the field. The 33-year-old has enjoyed a chequered career to date, being ordered to pay over €17m to former club Chelsea in 2008 after his contract with the club was cancelled following a failed drugs test for cocaine.
The striker then enjoyed spells at Juventus and Fiorentina before again failing a doping test in 2010.
The 75-capped international now finds himself at Ligue 1 side Ajaccio, after joining on a free transfer from Cesena in summer and Eduardo believes he is a great asset to the team.
"He is a good player, he has great quality," L'ours team-mate Eduardo told RMC Sport, after both players were on the score-sheet in their side's 4-4 draw with Lorient.
"We see that he is still not 100 per cent physically. He brings his experience. His goal was something that not everyone could do.
"He expresses himself a lot in the dressing room, even though he doesn't speak French.
"This is a great player."
