Despite falling to a 4-1 defeat to Valenciennes in Ligue 1 last Saturday, the 57-year-old has pressed his charges to keep their chins high, if they are to secure a memorable victory against Carlo Ancelotti's men.
"Since Thursday, I've been thinking of Paris Saint-Germain every second," joked Baup to assembled reporters at a press conference. "We are looking forward to it."
The former goalkeeper says that his side will disregard the high-profile players that they face and will instead focus on their own performances.
"We have this subconscious desire to project ourselves, and challenge on an even footing at the top of the table, showing our collective strength as a team," he said.
"With their financial prowess and recruitment of great players, Paris Saint-Germain remain a force to be reckoned with, but during a game we should be treated as equals.
"I'm not fixated on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's performance, what I'm interested in is our game, our players and our ability to form a great team against our opponents on Sunday."
The league front-runners have already been hit by a number of notable absentees, with Joey Barton suspended and injured duo Rafidine Abdullah and Kassim Abdallah set to miss out.
