The PSG boss expressed his respect for long-serving managers such as the Red Devils boss, ahead of his side's clash with Marseille on Sunday
The Scot has been in charge of the Old Trafford outfit since 1986, and is heralded as the best manager of the Premier League era. Ancelotti, who came up against Ferguson numerous times during his stint at Chelsea, has now expressed his admiration for the 70-year-old ahead of his side's clash with Ligue 1 leaders Marseille.
"A big coach? It's someone who has his own style of play," the 53-year-old told reporters.
"The coach I appreciate most is Sir Alex Ferguson. He's still there [at Manchester United] with his passion. I like the Manchester United discipline.
"Me? I'm a big coach for sure. I don't like talking about myself but I can say that I love my work and I like doing interviews."
PSG, who currently sit second in the league table, are set to face leaders Marseille on Sunday, and Ancelotti has revealed he is looking forward to the crucial encounter.
He added: "It's going to be a match with a lot of pressure for both teams. It's exciting for us because if we win, we take first place.
"In September, no one believed we would be first after only eight games."
Sunday's fixture is scheduled to kick off at 21:00 CET.
