Ligue 1

Round 3 Results

League Table
EVIAN
1 1 LYON
Olympique Lyonnais' 100% start to the season was ended after they were held to a 1-1 draw by a spirited Evian side at the Parc des Sports on Friday evening.

Yannick Sagbo proved to be a handful for the Lyonnais defence, which included new signing Milan Bisevac from Paris Saint-Germain, as the forward forced Hugo Lloris into a fine save in a competitive first-half.

Cedric Barbosa then rolled back the years with a fine finish, bringing the ball to his chest and firing past Lloris to open the scoring.

Lyon were threatening throughout and equalised later into the second period, as Michel Bastos made it two goals in two weeks with a sumtpous free-kick to secure a draw for Les Gones.

AS NANCY
0 1 TOULOUSE
Toulouse extended their strong start to the Ligue 1 season with a well-earned 1-0 win against Nancy.

Alain Casanova's side were without the likes of Etienne Capoue and Jonathan Zebina, who were initially named in the squad, but missed out due to failing a late fitness test.

Moussa Sissoko put the visitors ahead after just 11 minutes, beating the defence and firing past the goalkeeper, but Nancy would pose significant problems from there-on in.

Yohan Mollo tested Ali Ahamada as well as the rearguard several times with his trickery from the wing, but despite Andre Luiz being sent off for the hosts, they still went close as Sebastien Puygrenier hit the bar.

Wissam Ben Yedder, who scored twice in the first two weeks of league action missed a glorious chance, but by then, the side from the Pink City had already claimed the victory.

STADE DE REIMS
1 0 SOCHAUX
Stade de Reims enjoyed a first top-flight win since 1979 as they stole a late victory in the dying moments against a hapless Sochaux side rooted to the bottom.

The game itself was a turgid one, with brief moments of note, including Sebastien Corchia's red card in the 34th minute thanks to a handball which brought about his second booking.

Kamel Ghilas missed the resultant penatly, as both sides looked to be seeing out the encounter by sharing the spoils.

It wasn't to be for Eric Hely's men who would be undone by striker Sloan Privat embarrassingly scoring at his own end in the 94th minute to condemn Les Lionceaux to bottom place.

ESTAC TROYES
2 2 FC LORIENT
Troyes picked up their first point of the Ligue 1 season with a well-earnt 2-2 draw against Lorient, who should be frustrated after their recent performances against Montpellier and PSG.

Benjamin Nivet put the hosts ahead with an unlikely attempt which appeared to have originated as a cross, deceiving Fabien Audard after just four minutes.

Maxime Barthelme equalised for Les Merlus after 18 minutes, before Mounir Obbadi put the hosts ahead again with a fine finish.

Granddi N'goyi was adjudged to have tripped Yann Jouffre in the box in the second period, with Arnold Mvuemba tucking away the penalty to salvage a draw.

OGC NICE
2 2 LILLE
Lille had Mickael Landreau to thank after they held on to a 2-2 draw against Nice in an enthralling game at Stade du Ray.

Dimitri Payet made amends for his Champions League penalty miss in Copenhagen earlier this week by slotting home a good finish from Florent Balmont's weighted pass.

Nemanja Pejcinovic equalised soon after, turning in from Alexy Bosetti's free-kick, before Eric Bautheac moved past David Rozehnal and turn the match in the hosts' favour.

Djibril Sidibe restored parity just before the hour, but the hosts stepped up the ante, forcing Landreau into a number of top saves as Rudi Garcia's side held onto the point.

STADE RENNES
3 2 SC BASTIA
Stade Rennes picked up their first points of the season, with a thrilling 3-2 victory over a determined Bastia side at Stade de Route de la Lorient.

Romain Alessandrini broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, cutting in after receiving a pass from Jonathan Pitroipa, and fire past Novaes.

Bastia equalised six minutes later through Francois Marque, before Pitroipa turned in from a fine pass supplied by Mevlut Erding.

Sylvain Marchal again equalised for the promoted side, after Ilan was sent off after protesting a yellow card. With six minutes on the clock left to play, Yann M'Vila's screaming effort flicked off Erding, who claimed the goal, as Les Rouge et Noir claimed the victory.
VALENCIENNES
3 0 AC AJACCIO
Valenciennes joined Lyon and Toulouse on seven points, after a superb 3-0 victory over a disappointing Ajaccio outfit.

The visitors seemed to still be recovering from their high-effort 0-0 draw against Paris Saint-Germain last weekend, and were afforded a double set-back in the first half at Stade du Hainaut.

Mamadou Samassa put the hosts ahead with a fine header, before Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi saw red for a dangerous tackle on Gael Danic.

Loris Nery made it 2-0 early into the second half, before Foued Kadir's free-kick deflected off David Oberhauser and into the net for 3-0.

SAINT-ETIENNE
4 0 STADE BREST
Saint-Etienne recovered from a poor start in their Ligue 1 campaign to crush Stade Brest, prevailing 4-0 at Stade Geoffrey Guichard.

Romain Hamouma began proceedings by beating his marker and laying off Pierre Emerick Aubameyang after 13 minutes.

Joshua Guilavogui got into the act, as the aforementioned trio combined well to set up the former Caen midfielder to notch his second goal of the campaign.

Guilavogui grabbed Sainte's third in the second half, before Aubameyang rounded off Christophe Galtier's side's four-star performance with a well-taken finish.

MONTPELLIER
0 1 OLYMPIQUE DE MARSEILLE

Olympique de Marseille topped the Ligue 1 table for the first time since April 2011 with a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over champions Montpellier at a hot Stade de la Mosson.

The game had initially been pushed back to 17:00CET due to the hot August weather encircling the south of France, and this mirrored into the sides' play in the opening 20 minutes, as both sets of players struggled.

Andre-Pierre Gignac had a penalty appeal dismissed, after going to ground from a challenge from Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, as Younes Belhanda smashed the crossbar for the hosts.

In the second half, Nicolas N'Koulou headed wide, before Gignac grabbed his second league goal of the season - more than his tally in 2011-12 - with the winner after 77 minutes.

The champions are in the relegation zone, whilst Marseille have won their first opening three games of the season for the first time since 1998-99.
