Ibrahimovic: Paris Saint-Germain will only get better

The PSG striker marked his debut with two goals and then claimed his new side have plenty of time to make improvements in the coming months

Paris Saint-Germain's two-goal hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic is convinced there is more to come from him and his team-mates, after his late penalty rescued a last-gasp point at home to Lorient.

The visitors had surged into a healthy lead inside the opening 45 minutes, but were pegged back by the brilliance of the mercurial Swede, who capped a debut to remember when he netted his second of the night by firing home an 89th minute penalty to salvage a point.

"It's just the first match with a new team," he told the media at the post-match press conference. "There's still plenty of time to get better organised and do well."

In evidently more buoyant mood was Carlo Ancelotti, who nevertheless still lamented the loss of two points that would have given his side the advantage over French champions Montpellier, who were also held to a draw on Friday.

"Ibrahimovic turned in a fantastic shift," gushed the coach.

"We put in a better performance in the second half. Unfortunately, we lacked balance in the first period. While we displayed characther to fight back, we have to work better as a unit."
