The Brazilian has been told that that he cannot leave, putting to bed rumours that he could be on his way back to his homeland this summerParis Saint-Germain's sporting director, has moved to stop Nene going back to Brazil to join Corinthians, by telling the player that he has not been released, and will stay in at the club for the foreseeable future.
Since joining PSG in 2010, Nene has developed a reputation as a goal-scoring midfielder, making 93 appearances and scoring 49 goals.
In a statement issued via Twitter, the club assured fans that the Brazilian midfielder would not be leaving the club before next season.
"Nene was informed today by the PSG's sporting director, Leonardo, that he will not be released to join Corinthians. Thus, there is no possibility for the midfielder to return to Brazil for the moment.”
The player is expected to sign a new contract with the club soon. PSG kick off the new season at home to Lorient on August 11.
