Leonardo: Paris Saint-Germain remain in Ligue 1 title race

The 42 year old remains wary of Montpellier's league standing, and with just two games remaining in Ligue 1, is adamant that all is not over.
Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo has labelled the Ligue 1 title race as "exciting", but stressed that the club is aware of the battle they face to win the title, with two other teams in the running.

Carlo Ancelotti's men are currently second in the fight for Ligue 1, three points behind Rene Girard's Montpellier with Lille a further two adrift. All three remain in contention with two rounds of the season remaining.

The Brazilian was wary of the league leaders' ability to deny them a first title since 1994.

"Montpellier are a match. This is the end of the season, and it is exciting, with three teams that can finish first, second or third." the 42 year old was quoted as saying by France Football.

"For us, we know we can achieve our goal. It is true that Montpellier has match point [in the title race]. They play against third place [Lille, on Sunday] who can still win the championship.

"We play at home against Rennes. We are in the fight, completely into it. It's true we missed points, but Montpellier and Lille have too."

PSG host Frederic Antoinetti's men at the Parc des Princes on Sunday knowing anything other than victory could see Montpellier crowned champions. Kick-off is at 21.00CET.
