OM were beaten 2-0 after goals from Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben, and Diarra feels that the Ligue 1 giants were too naive with both strikes.
"You could say experience was the difference. Both goals we conceded were naive. For the second one, we tried to play a free-kick quickly when we were not in position and we were punished," Diarra said to uefa.com.
"They controlled it from 2-0, but we regret our two errors. We feel extremely disappointed because both goals could have been prevented.
"We played well in the first half. We were committed, we closed them down and stopped them playing. Unfortunately we conceded right on the stroke of half-time. That really hit us hard."
The second leg takes place at the Allianz Arena on April 3.
