I don't really want David Beckham to join Paris Saint-Germain, says Sylvain Armand

The 31-year-old French stopper is giving the Englishman a frosty reception as he does not believe that the LA Galaxy midfielder will add anything to the team on the pitch
Paris Saint-Germain defender Sylvain Armand is the latest in a list of names to show opposition to the potential arrival of David Beckham from Los Angeles Galaxy.

France coach Laurent Blanc, Beckham's former Real Madrid team-mate Zinedine Zidane and Uefa president Michel Platini have all questioned the motives behind the possible move.

"I don't really want him to join," Armand told CFoot.

"He will come for our image and it's good to play with a world star, but then on the field..."

Beckham is in the final few weeks of his contract with the MLS side, though he has not declared his future intentions as yet.
