Former French goalkeeper has been given the chance to become the new coach of the Spanish club, but he is not going to rush into a decision
Valenciennes coach Philippe Montanier has been offered the role to become the new Real Sociedad boss, according to reports in France.
Canal+ Sport reports that the Primera Division club have approached the 46-year-old to fill the managerial vacancy at the Anoeta. La Real announced last week that Martin Lasarte would no longer maintain the position.
However, Montanier, who has been the coach of the French club since 2009, is not keen to rush into a decision and will wait until he gets the green signal from chairman Francis Decourriere.
Before joining Valenciennes two summers ago, Montanier was the coach at Boulogne from 2004 until 2009.
